Just Blinds

Just Blinds commenced in 1982 as a cottage industry by an Australian father and son with the manufacture of timber blinds.

They pioneered and introduced to the market place the concept of the wider timber blind blade - 46mm, 60 mm and 84 mm.

In 1989 the wide blade shutter and its use as an internal window furnishing was introduced utilising blade sizes of 46mm, 84mm and 110mm.

The company then expanded to the manufacture of woven timber blinds, an increased range of timber blinds and shutters allowing the customer a choice of timber, blade size and finish.

As many of our initial staff who created and developed the improvements are still with us it provides depth of knowledge, initiative and the ability to handle the unique and unusual.

Our basic business philosophy is the production of a good quality timber product and ensuring client satisfaction.

Helioscreen

The sun has been an inspiration for centuries. The natural light of the sun plays an important role in architecture: shining through a window, giving us a feeling of life and space, it can be playful, warm and pleasing. But sometimes, it can be capricious, even excessive, dazzling or just very hot.

To enable the sun to make a positive contribution to the quality of our living space, Helioscreen developed a sun-screening concept which offers a solution for every situation. When the sun's heat becomes too intense, we can lower a Helioscreen blind which can be moved away again when the sun disappears. Helioscreen's fibreglass fabric takes the heat out of the sun before it hits the glass, by reflecting and absorbing the radiation. At the same time, the view towards the outside remains intact and daylight continues to enter the room virtually unobstructed.
